Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality related procedures and instructions
- Reviewing our manufacturing specifications to identify materials needed for production.
- Assist in the supplier qualification and evaluation program; audit and collaborate with critical suppliers to development and maintain raw material specifications, material traceability and ongoing compliance standards.
- Visiting supplier facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their processes and procedures.
- Performing regular quality control audits to ensure suppliers continue to work in compliance with company and federal standards.
- Implement and lead a supplier certification program that reduces or eliminates the need for incoming inspection.
- Reviewing incoming supplies and products from suppliers to check for defects and ensure quality.
- Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws.
- Must work in partnership with suppliers to establish quality plans to ensure products meet specifications.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates.
- Serving as a liaison between our company's senior management and suppliers to identify quality issues and implement solutions to reduce the receipt of nonconforming material.
- Lead the systematic corrective and preventive actions (CAR) process related to supply chain – initiate, review & oversee adequacy of root cause analysis, corrections, corrective actions, preventative actions, and effectiveness
- Complete First Article Inspections as needed
- Participate and/or lead in disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Work with cross-functional teams to assist in Risk Management activities and the compilation of Risk Management reports related to supply chain.
- Work on continuous improvement projects to identify root causes and reduce scrap utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology.
- Must maintain exceedingly collaborative and effective interaction with Production and Engineering teams to proactively advance QMS as required to support world class manufacturing operations.

Education and Experience:
- BS degree in engineering, science, or logistics discipline or at least 5 years' experience and knowledge in quality, production processes, and engineering principles.
- Working knowledge & Internal Quality System experience for Aviation, Space and Defense Organizations (AS9100). Certified Auditor preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing and production processes and engineering principles
- Computer competency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Minitab
- Desired CQE, CSSBB and/or CQA
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
