BASIC FUNCTION

Primary Responsibility: The Supply Dispatch Clerk I is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient supply dispatch operations.

Responsible for taking service and supply inbound calls for commercial and residential customers while displaying excellent customer service

Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while completing such task as:

  • Keying meters
  • Researching orders
  • Dispatching outbound calls
  • Working with minimal supervision

File all correspondence as necessary

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Zero to one years of experience in comparable industry experience

Experience required in the following areas:

  • Customer and personal service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
  • Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills, including a knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of works, rules of composition and grammar
  • Excellent computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing programs and e-mail
  • Demonstrated record of dependability and reliability.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution.

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot methodically and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work in areas which require attention to detail in a varied environment.
  • General office environment. May spend long hours sitting or standing.
  • Some physical effort is required which may involve bending, reaching, stretching, or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 60 pounds
