Nemours is seeking Surgery Scheduler (Hemotology Oncology) (Full-Time), to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida.
This position is responsible for: Coordinating with internal and external operating rooms, ASC, etc. to ensure the patients are appropriately scheduled for surgeries and/or outpatient procedures.

This position is responsible for: Coordinating with internal and external operating rooms, ASC, etc. to ensure the patients are appropriately scheduled for surgeries and/or outpatient procedures.
Essential Function:
- Coordinates the clinic and surgery schedules for the providers to ensure there are no conflicts.
- Coordinates surgery schedule with internal and external operating rooms.
- Submits surgical clearances for the purpose of patient scheduling into the OR.
- Submits all information to the pre-certification team to ensure the insurance will cover the surgical costs.
- Acts as the family's liaison between the surgical centers and provider staff to ensure all education, authorizations and post op appointments are taken care of.
- Schedules outpatient ancillary procedures and testing for families.
- Must have the ability to work well with others.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Good communications skills are required.
Non-Essential Functions
- Acts as back up for all surgery schedulers.
- Builds and fosters teamwork.
- Manages questions related to surgery.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirement:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum (6) six months of experience required.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Surgery scheduling experience preferred.
