To support this mission the Office of Information Technology invites applications for the position of System Administrator to work alongside a dynamic and progressive team of IT professionals.You will be a member of the Systems Administration team responsible for the effective administration of all server infrastructure, virtualized and physical servers, and the implementation and maintenance of enterprise and departmental applications. You will work both independently as well as with members of Information Technology and campus constituents including students through executive leadership. You will work to provide new solutions and to maintain existing solutions.As a member of the Systems Administration team, you will work with and be responsible for enterprise technologies and solutions such as Microsoft 365 including Azure Active Directory, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Microsoft Active Directory including Group Policy, DHCP and DNS, Single Sign-On, server virtualization, and other technologies. You will also be involved with the management of and provide support for client computing technologies, applications, technical services and infrastructure.This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week according to policy.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology or Computer Science field or equivalent experience.2-4 years’ experience in systems administration and/or IT Support and/or equivalent educationExperience with or knowledge of desktop and server operating systems; current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directory, virtualization, networking, application support.Microsoft Office applicationsMicrosoft Active Directory maintenance and administration, including user, adds, deletes, security, group assignments, policies, and scripting, etc.Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in project management, project documentation, application maintenance and integrationExperience with Linux Operating Systems and associated applicationsKnowledge/experience with backup/recovery administration Experience in Higher Education
