NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range
$75,900 - $146,200
- Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Software Systems Engineer to join the 9771 IT Service Management team. Service Management is a set of organizational capabilities for enabling value for customers in the form of services.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Work within a technical team of IT professionals to perform system configuration, software development or related application administration activities on the IT Service Management suite of tools
- Provide end-to-end service management solutions that meet the needs of our IT service team customers
- Manage work leveraging an Agile project management approach
The selected applicant can be a virtual worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.
Qualifications We Require
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field plus 3 years of experience; or equivalent (AS + 7 years or no degree plus 11 years)
- Experience with one of the following:
- Enterprise commercial software administration
- Software development
- Server host administration
- Database host administration
- Middleware administration
- Experience programming in one or more computer science languages (preferably JavaScript)
- Experience with COTS/cloud IT Service Management and IT Operations management platforms
- Experience with IT automation/workflow tools, system integrations and APIs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Qualifications We Desire
- Experience with COTS/cloud IT Service Management and IT Operations management platforms (preferably ServiceNow)
- Experience with IT Service Management practices (ie. Incident, Request, Change, Knowledge, CMDB and/or Problem Management)
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines
- Strong teamwork and effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to establish standards for development and maintenance of new and existing solution deliverables
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a constantly changing environment
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile DevOps environment
- Experience in leading business requirements elicitation, testing, and software release management
- Relevant training/certifications (preferably ITIL & ServiceNow)
