POSITION SUMMARY

The Systems Analyst - Cybersecurity is responsible for executing ESRT's security posture includes monitoring and evaluating threats to the company’s technological environment. This role will work closely with our Director of Cyber Security, Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), internal helpdesk and network teams to ensure remediation, compliance, and raising awareness.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with our MSSP to monitor computers, networks, and OT devices for security issues
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
  • Prepare an incident response form for security events and incidents
  • Develop company-wide best practices and SoP for cybersecurity
  • Review software and hardware patches and hot fixes to assess level of severity and applicability
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
  • Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them in the future
  • Evaluate cybersecurity best of breed tools to address monitoring, detection, and remediation
  • Work with third party vendors to perform network security testing.
  • Help to deliver cybersecurity awareness training
  • Stay current on information technology trends and security standards
  • Carry out other duties assigned or requested by management

Contribute to raising cybersecurity awareness across the ESRT ecosystem including employees, consultants, and vendors through:

  • Developing and implementing cyber best practices

Be adaptable to the changing cyber landscape of threats and defenses. Proactively own your projects, communicate status updates, and plan one step ahead.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information System Management or related field
  • Cybersecurity certificate program
  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of hand-on cyber experience
  • In-depth understanding of information systems technology including common computer applications, operating systems, PC hardware, network mobile devices, and messaging systems
  • Basic understanding of client remote access networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • A+ Certified and/or Equivalent certification a plus

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, job location, size of property where applicable, and/or certifications.
