Location: Nellis, AFB, NV
Clearance: Top Secret w/SCI Eligibility
KSA Requirements:
Systems Integration Engineer shall have the following:
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from accredited institution
  • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II or III Certification
  • 5+ Year's experience using Linux/Red Hat Environment
  • 8+ Year's experience in Systems Administration
  • 8+ Year's experience in network design, configuration, verification and troubleshooting and working vendor's network equipment, including Cisco
  • 5+ Year's experience working with/leading teams to address complex projects
  • Strong working knowledge of Virtual Machine (VM) and VMWare
  • Strong working knowledge of zero client architecture, patch installation, McAfee anti-virus implementation and definitions
  • Strong working knowledge of STIG application/compliance
Desired:
  • DoD 8570.1 IASAE Level II or III
  • 5+ Year's of M&S work experience
  • Experience with M&S or JSE tools and environment such as NGTS, GRID, WSCE, MACE, CES, ASTi, Aechelon
  • Familiarity with C++, C, Python and MATLAB program languages
  • Knowledge of DIS/HLA/TENA/GRID protocols
  • Efficiency in operations of M&S federations, models, systems and associated components
  • Waiver of individual experience/qualification requirements will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide system administration, network engineering and administration, IT support for the integration of multiple complex Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) based VTTC simulators (ie, VATS,F-35, and F-22) and an advanced JSE Battlespace enclave.
  • Support Microsoft-based and Linux Red Hat installation/upgrade of OSs, implement and maintain domain services, conduct preventative maintenance to ensure reliable functionality and availability of VTTC systems, conduct and maintain a rigorous patch schedule, maintain and operate a Public Key Encryption/Public Key Infrastructure (PKE/PKI)environment, provide and administer virtual machines (VM), enable LAN technologies, configure network layer 2 / 3 devices, configure DNS settings, maintain active directory, support/maintain time sync servers, develop and
  • Maintain group policies, provide shared folder resources, support thin/zero client architecture, establish and maintain accounts (user access and logins), and support the integration of specialized JSE applications and software, both Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) and Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS).
  • Support configuration management by creating and maintaining standard operating procedures, developing a concept of operations (CONOPS) for the system, maintaining system checklists, monitoring performance and functionality of all systems/enclaves/networks, supporting audit requirements, maintaining complete hardware and software inventories, conducting asset/change management, establishing and maintaining the systems performance benchmarks, physical, and functional configuration documentation (e.g., baselines, network diagrams, physical topology, etc.).
