Summary

The MIL Corporation located in Lexington Park, MD supporting the Naval Aviation Acquisition Programs has an exciting opportunity as a System Security Engineering/SSE (Systems Engineering, Senior Associate) supporting a major ACATI developmental program. This opportunity is in support of OPNAV in the area of cybersecurity/cyber warfare for platform, weapon, and control systems. Assist in the development of a comprehensive Naval Aviation Cyber warfare strategic plan, identify Navy and joint service cyber strategic activities both at Platform weapon systems and control systems level to ensure Naval Aviation is resilient. Responsible in articulating the cyber and space implementation plan in support of OPNAV’s annual Planning Programming Budget Execution (PPBE)/Program Objective Memorandum (POM), JCIDS and Systems Engineering processes with a focus on requirements, modeling, simulation, and analysis.

The MIL Corporation provides a full range of cyber security services under our current contracts including cyber resiliency engineering, vulnerability research, s/w and h/w penetration testing, reverse engineering, support NAVAIR Red Team and direct support to Naval Aviation Acquisition Programs providing Systems Security Engineering expertise.

This position will be based onsite Tinker AFB, OK and maybe eligible for some remote work depending on contract/client and hiring manager approval. An active Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide inputs to program(s) ICD/CDD in the area of cybersecurity and cyber survivability.
• Provide inputs to program CONOPS
• Cybersecurity Resources and Requirements coordination
• Advocate for CYBER related initiatives and requirements within both the PPBE (POM and Baseline Assessment Memorandum (BAM)) processes
• Advocate, on an ongoing basis, for execution of critical cybersecurity integrated processes, actions, and functions
• Track and coordinate reporting of CYBER integration efforts for Programs of Records to ensure Cyber Situational Awareness.
• Provide advocacy for enforcement of compliance related to CYBERSECURITY/CYBER WARFARE AND CYBERSAFE items during the program Knowledge Point (Gate Reviews) and major milestone reviews
• Advocate for CYBER capability development as a key mission enabler in support of NAVAL Capability Domain areas.
• Coordinate regularly with NAVAIR PEOs/PMs to ensure program Cyber issue sheets are holistically integrated in support of the Navy’s warfare mission areas.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience in requirements definition and development
• 5 years of relevant experience in related Cyber and System Security Engineering
• Ability to work in a diverse team environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge and direct experience in cyber and system security relating to airborne weapon systems and platforms.
• Knowledge and understanding of OPNAV requirements process and documents.
• Knowledge and understanding of OPNAV’s annual Planning Programming Budget Execution (PPBE)/Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process
• Knowledge and experience in DoD Systems Acquisition Life Cycle (SALC).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline; or equivalent work experience

Clearance
