Job description

We are seeking an experienced seamstress/tailor to join our team. We are a uniform store, offering uniforms and gear to first responders. We also offer alteration services. This position is part-time (with potential of becoming full time in the future) and requires a high level of skill in sewing. Must have prior excellent technical sewing and fitting skills and alteration experience.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with an outgoing personality that demonstrates self-confidence, is a self- starter, takes initiative , presents themselves well and displays strong customer service skills.

Position requires sewing patches onto garments, hem pants, tapers, zippers, adding pant striping, alter sleeves and waists, sizing, pressing of finished goods, repair garments to customers tastes, operate sewing equipment, performs other duties as assigned.

Must be detailed oriented, able to follow instructions, be organized, work well in a fast paced environment, stay on schedule, maintain a professional attitude, ability to function as a member of a team, ability to interpret instructional documents, effective written and verbal skills, operate and perform maintenance on sewing machines, maintain a clean, organized and stocked work area and inform a leader when additional supplies are needed.

Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are a must.

Must be able to complete daily assignments, meet deadlines with accuracy and demonstrate a sense of urgency, pay attention to detail, multitask, prioritize and work under deadline/pressure. Must have a customer service mindset, adapt easily, possess excellent interpersonal skills and have job knowledge.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
