Location: Tulsa SSC (hybrid work)

Reports to: Manager, Gral Accounting, Sales&Use Tax and Fixed Assets

Ingredion is hiring for a Tax Analyst based out of the Tulsa Shared Services Center! All Accounting professionals with some sales tax background, ckeck this out!

The Tax Analyst duties will be more general in nature as many of their duties include ad hoc requests. The activities that they will be responsible for will make up 85% of the analyst’s time and the nature of each activity varies and can include but not limited to assisting sales and use tax analyst, obtaining sales tax exemption certificates, providing tax withholding rates, reviewing general ledger, gathering necessary information for tax preparations, prepare sales reporting and reconciliations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collect and validate sale and foreign vendor tax exemption certificates
• Timely and accurately file tax forms required by IRS and other government agencies
• Reconciliation of regional service fees and withholding tax accrual
• Coordinate the completion of the tax returns and other filings with outside vendors
• Back-up the Sales and Use Tax Analyst and Treasure Analyst, as necessary
• Complete Ad-hoc requests, as necessary
• Ability to organize, problem-solve and execute multiple tasks
• Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrates initiative and uses functional knowledge of business to execute goals
• Finds improvements opportunities and delivers them
• Works collaboratively with peers
• Embraces change and is open to new ideas and approaches.
• Ability to adapt to changing law, business practices and the continuous evolution of IT systems related to the tax function
• Strong communication skills to explain the company’s tax positions to other members of the organization and local tax representatives
• Ensure Desk Top Procedures (DTP’s) are written and current for all job functions and that they comply with internal control policies.
• Conduct process reviews to identify improvements to enhance the quality of financial reporting. Lead the implementation of improvements identified through this process
• Develop and maintain relationships with business partners both at SSC and across the company.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Accounting Degree is ideal, but open to Associate's Degree in Accounting or other Bachelor's degrees if the sales&use tax experience is strong
• Ideally 1-2 years' experience in Sales & Use Tax - we are ok with an internship in that area if you have a Bachelor's in Accounting
• Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule and successfully manage multiple priorities
• Proven proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization as well as to external customers and vendors

Pay: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
