Description

Assures the implementation and integration of the compliance mandates by planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities. Serves as an active member of the COI team by supporting COI objectives. Supports the site team and countywide service area mission by performing the following duties. Provides on-site supervision and child development services to at-risk children enrolled in a child care program.

Salary $17.30 - $21.30/hourly (COVID Vaccine Required)

Knowledge, Skills Required:

The requirements listed below are representatives of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. · Degree/Certification – minimum qualifications:

-Early Head Start: a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and 6 months center-based child care experience or have 11 credit hours in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development.

-Head Start

~an associate's degree in child development or early childhood education, or

~an associate degree and 24 credit hours in early childhood education, with 6 months experience teaching preschool-age children.

-Head Start – waiver of requirement

~A college degree with less than 6 credit hours in early childhood, and

· earn the CDA credential within one year of employment

· earn a total of 19 college credit hours in early childhood courses or obtain an advanced degree in early childhood within 3 years of employment

~A CDA credential, and

· Enroll and obtain a college degree within 3 years of employment

II. Special Requirements:

· Valid NYS Driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout the county.

· Reliable transportation; driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.

· Ability to lift 50 pounds.

· Completes all OCFS requirements

· Meets OCFS training requirements and maintains training logs.

· Flexibility in work schedule.

· Must be able to maintain substantial, Active Supervision and Zone Supervision of

children.

· Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times.

· Must be able to provide proof of Covid Vaccine.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.30 - $21.30 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
