JOB SUMMARY:
Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications required:
- Appropriate licensure for special education
- Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implements individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs and IFSPs
- Creates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities
- Encourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate
- Provide families with service coordination supports in order to meet their needs
- Conducts and carries out educational assessments
- Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures
