Founded in 2011 in New York City, Melt Shop is a melted sandwich franchise concept using only the best ingredients. As the pioneer of the Melted Sandwich Movement, the company offers a variety of melted sandwiches, tots, tenders, salads and shakes. Today, Melt Shop has grown to 20 locations in and around New York City, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Delaware, New Jersey and Florida.

The product and processes have been meticulously refined for more than seven years. As a Team Member you have the ability to make the Guest experience! You are the face of our brand and have more communication with our Guests than any other position. We are looking for people who have a passion for people and are both positive and energetic! You must be comfortable with and enjoy serving and interacting with our Guests.

Team Members are not hired for one position, but to help out with every aspect of the shop. Team Members are trained to learn many different positions within the shop. Some of these positions may include: cashier, sandwich maker, and fryer or grill operator and beverage maker. There are additional responsibilities associated with the opening and closing of the restaurant that a Team Member will be responsible to complete dependent upon work shift.

• Ensures Melt Shop standards on sequence of service, food quality and menu builds, cleanliness, food safety and equipment are maintained

LEGAL JARGON: The position’s physical demands require work in a restaurant/kitchen environment with moderate to loud noise levels, varying temperature conditions and possible direct exposure to hazardous substances, such as hot oil. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, travel and react quickly to deadlines, sometimes with little notice. The employee is often required to stand for long periods; walk, bend, kneel, and reach with hands to retrieve boxes or food containers typically weighing 50 pounds or less, without restrictions. May be required to use a stepladder. Finger dexterity is required for use of cash register. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to travel as needed.
