Job description

To quote and assist in quoting non-commodity products and working with customers and end users to develop new products. Manage technical sales accounts and assist with other customers as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain relationships, grow and service existing accounts
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, answering inquiries and directing them to the appropriate parties when necessary.
  • Proactively generate sales and promote through outbound calling and daily dialog with existing customers and new prospects.
  • Ongoing communication with the sales team regarding feedback received regarding quotes and other market and customer information.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, qualify, provide quotes accordingly and take customer orders
  • Enter quotes into the ERP and CRM system
  • Follow up on quotes to get status and feedback to get the order!
  • Process and review customer purchase orders which include checking inventory and assigning due dates
  • Check system-generated orders for accuracy before distributing them internally, acknowledging customers, and making appropriate changes if necessary.
  • Inform customers of item due dates on orders placed by sending acknowledgments (confirmations)
  • Work closely with Production regarding lead times, stock, and shipping
  • Expedite backorders
  • Communicate with management about any customer issues or potential problems
  • Work with management to determine solutions for errors made relative to materials produced, delivery of the product, or service charges
  • Maintain an understanding of the stainless steel PVF industry, comparable products, competitors, new developments, and pricing structures

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Five years minimum of experience in inside sales with positive sales results
  • PVF Industry and sales experience
  • Strong background in specifications, mechanical aptitude, math skills, and blueprint reading
  • Positive, professional, and energetic attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Reliable, organized, detailed, and focused
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools—specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in typing skills
  • ERP system experience (Global Shop a plus)
  • CRM software experience (Hub Spot Experience a plus)
