Job Overview

Position Schedule: Full-Time

This position has responsibility for accomplishing technical or advanced business area specific functions including interpreting information and making subjective decisions that have a moderate to high level of risk or that may have legal, regulatory or financial implications. Decisions must ensure collaboration with a variety of roles and support functions within the business area. The position is required to understand rules & regulations and the impact they have on the business area functions, systems and controls; along with identifying inherent and potential risks and making recommendations to mitigate.

The Cost Basis Reporting Team is responsible for making updates to client's Cost basis information, and ensuring the reporting is up-to-date and accurate. Cost Basis directly impacts client tax obligations and the work can require technical skills and extensive research. This role requires an in-depth understanding of tax and cost basis regulations and requires associates to manage risk to the client regarding complete and accurate information.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Hiring Minimum: $50198
Hiring Maximum: $82776

Skills/Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry or related field is required. Familiarity with industry and business area specific regulations is required within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of complex systems and system interdependencies within Operations necessary.
  • In-depth product knowledge may be required based on business area.
  • Ability to make recommendations to resolve and improve system issues is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
  • Data mining experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to communicate complex details effectively with senior leaders, branches, vendors and other external parties to get results.
  • Takes initiative; motivated self- starter and detailed oriented; able to meet deadlines while working independently and/or remotely.
