Overview:
St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Bone Densitometry Tech - Certified to join our team.

This position will support a flex schedule to cover PTO, sick days etc. with opportunity to pick up additional shifts and cross train to other modalities.

Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Bone Densitometry Tech operates DXA imaging equipment and performs bone mineral density exams as prescribed by providers.
Responsibilities:
  • Collect key information from the patient, family and provider that is specific to the exam being performed.
  • Educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of the procedure.
  • Perform technical processing duties and quality assurance on DXA and other equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of all supplies as required.
  • Assist in training new staff.
  • Ensure patient is properly positioned and prepared for examination following DXA protocol.
  • Complete diagnostic paperwork.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year experience.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Current certification as a Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) through the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD).
    • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification.
