Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital which provides state-of-the-art rehabilitation services for patients recovering from health care conditions such as stroke, brain injury and musculoskeletal disorders. The only rehabilitation hospital in the state accredited in six programs by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

We Provide patient-centered outpatient rehabilitation services, partnering with patients, families and caregivers to make sure patients achieve their best functional outcome and return to an improved quality of life and health.
Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital's Outpatient Therapy Department is comprised of six interdisciplinary clinic sites throughout the greater Albuquerque and Santa Fe areas. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide 1:1 hour long treatment sessions and offer a variety of specialty services and programs. At Lovelace, you have the opportunity to work with varied diagnoses such as brain injuries, spinal cord injury, stroke rehabilitation, orthopedics, etc. Across all stages of diagnosis and recovery.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting in conducting medically prescribed therapy treatments to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist
- Provides non-clinical support services to the therapist to include but not limited to maintaining patient treatment areas and basic clerical support
- Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
Minimum Job Requirements:
HS Diploma or GED equivalent- CPR certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Graduate of a certified physical therapy technician program or comparable experience
- Therapy tech or comparable experience
- Ability to communicate effectively and deal calmly, courteously and efficiently with people
- Ability to deal with stressful situations
- Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures and maintain strict confidentiality
