What We Need:

We are looking for a Tool & Die Maker to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team in Muscatine, IA!

Pay: starting between $29.00 - $35.00 per hour based on prior manufacturing experience. Our 2nd, 3rd, or weekend shift opportunities receive an additional hourly shift differential. We pay our Members weekly!

JOB DETAILS

In a Tool & Die Maker role, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintain all dies, fixtures, and any other special tool in order to ensure production operates efficiently to meet customer demands. Exercise independent judgment in accepting or rejecting working condition of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, repair and maintain all dies, fixtures, jigs and other tooling items required for the proper running of equipment.
• Design and create tools.
• Assist in preventative maintenance program for tooling
• Project work as needed
• Follow standard work for tooling duties; suggest and document improvements to standard work.
• Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

What is expected?

• Safety – comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures; meet the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Environment – Dust, fumes and noise are common; while some facilities are climate controlled, seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and humidity are expected.

• Preferably a minimum of 4 years of Tool & Die experience in industrial or military settings.

• No prior education or training is required.
• Apprenticeship Program Completion is preferred but not required.
