The Total Rewards Leader will partner with our Chief HR Officer to provide strategic design and direction, execution and ongoing management of USRC's total rewards programs to ensure they engage and retain employees in alignment with the company's business goals. As an integral member of the Human Resources leadership team, the Vice President, Total Rewards will have a focus on constant innovation to ensure that our benefit and compensation programs remain competitive, sustainable, scalable, and positively impact the short- and long-term performance of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
Compensation:
- Oversee the design, implementation and administration of our compensation program that includes salary, bonus, and variable incentives including day-to-day management of these programs
- Lead the analysis of market pricing activities like job matching, data analytics, compensation practices and trends.
- Develop ongoing engagement strategy to proactively partner with business leaders on compensation analysis, insights, and competitive positioning.
- Develop and maintain the required infrastructure for broad banding guidelines and career ladder structure to support compensation and career progression
- Oversee and update all compensation-related communications and materials and ensure accuracy
- Partner with Legal team on FLSA reviews for current and new positions.
- Coordinate design and execution of Employee Engagement programs including but not limited to the service award program, tuition reimbursement, CEU reimbursement programs, referral bonus program as well as execution of newly developed programs in the future.

- Develop an innovative and engaging benefits education program that extends beyond open enrollment period to provide a best-in-class experience for all employees and appropriate access and utilization of benefit offerings
- Lead the annual open enrollment process including broker and carrier marketing, plan decisions and managing employee communication
- Ensure compliance across all plans with applicable Federal, State and local regulations governing employer sponsored benefits.
- Monitor industry and external market and provide analysis on the impact of relevant developments in the compensation and benefits areas
Retirement:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of the 401k retirement plan.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, as well as internal policies.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:
- College degree required; advance degree preferred.
- 8 or more years of broad-based benefit and compensation program design, implementation, and ongoing administration, or related experience
- In-depth knowledge of all health and welfare benefits and associated processes and procedures and working knowledge of federal and/or state regulations affecting the administration of broad-based benefit, retirement, and compensation plans (COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, etc.)
- Proven strategic orientation balanced by the ability to dig into the details and be a player-coach while building teams and total rewards infrastructure
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to counsel and tactfully assist people with sometimes difficult situations.
- A reputation for discretion, integrity, judgement, responsiveness, strong attention to detail and common sense
- Critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, organize, and present data.
- Proactively address issues and anticipate need for information.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative and deadline driven work environment.
- Must have proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Travel expected for this position. Not to exceed 50%.
