Job description
The Humanities Division at UNM-Valencia anticipates hiring a Temporary Part-Time Faculty member to teach either an online or face-to-face English course at the 100 or 200 college level in Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Fall 2023. This is a continuous recruitment beginning in the Spring 2022 semester. Positions are contingent upon the need of each semester as determined by student enrollment levels and current course offerings.
Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus associated with the University of New Mexico. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers vocational and technical courses as well as academic transfer courses to the citizens of Valencia and northern Socorro counties. The faculty and staff serve a student body of approximately 2,300 each semester.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree in English (or related field)
- One year English teaching experience at the post-secondary level
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. or MFA in English (or related field)
- One year English teaching experience at a community college
- One year teaching experience using Canvas
- Online teaching certification
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
