Job Description:

The program manager is responsible for building and managing open enrollment courses that effectively meet the professional development and continuing workforce educational needs of the existing workforce, displaced workers, professional licensure recertification, and for professional development opportunities through effective preparation via needs assessments, program research, program development, program management and program analysis. Program Coordinators are responsible for immediate and long-term programming goals to achieve the delivery goals and growth targets for the college.

Responsibilities will include frequent contact inside and outside of the organization to ensure program development and success. Program Manager will be responsible for developing the policies, procedures, coordinating service delivery, promoting programs, and technical advising of programs. Program Manager will be responsible for managing grants, monitoring legislations and trends, coordinating resources, and supervising programming staff and instructors. Program Manager must ensure quality controls of all programs assigned. Work is performed with considerable independence within a broad scope of strategic mission and goals.

Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this position is $60,000.00-$70,000.00. Salary will commensurate with education and experience. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Candidate should possess excellent project management skills and be able to manage multiple projects during a single time within a deadline-driven environment.
  • Superb leadership and communication skills will be required.
  • Candidates should have experience working with private industry and be very knowledgeable about the regional business and industry landscape and local economic development.
  • Must contribute to the mission of Laurel Ridge Workforce being the local, reliable, and trusted partner for quality and relevant workforce training programs that meet the needs of employers and individuals in our community.
  • Proven academic excellence and subject matter knowledge, which may be evidenced by training, experience, and/or a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Professional Programmer (CPP) recommended.
  • Considerable years of industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of professional development programs in a higher education setting.
