Summary:
The Traffic Coordinator supports the Warehouse supervisor and department by managing a high volume of paperwork for domestic and international shipments. A sense of urgency with close attention to detail is required with data entry, invoicing, filing, faxing, emailing and/or matching the paperwork to incoming and outgoing orders. This position will keep files organized and must be skilled in shipping practices to work with carriers scheduling, expediting, or tracking orders.
Main responsibilities:
- Invoice daily shipments and verify against required paperwork.
- Prepares import/export documents in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Calculate value of duties and tariff’s due on transported goods.
- Schedule transportation carriers for pick up of daily orders.
- Track all shipments door to door and help facilitate movement when necessary
- Communicate with Customer Service on both daily and expedited shipments.
- Communicate with other departments to help facilitate the daily shipments.
- Organize and file all paperwork.
- MRO purchasing for facility support and operations.
Qualifications and experience:
- 1-2 years of prior experience in related field
- Experience with export shipments and necessary paperwork
- MRO purchasing experience a plus
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Keen sense of detail orientation
- Demonstrated ability in customer service and communication skill
- Well organized and internally motivated for success
