SAFY is seeking a part-time Regional Trainer for our Findlay and Sidney divisions in Ohio.
As a part-time Regional Trainer responsible for the training and development of foster parents, adoptive parents, and staff.

What You'll Do:
- Provide ongoing training to staff and foster parents in a classroom setting and/or by using different media such as video conferencing, Microsoft Teams, etc. Training should be provided based on training plans created by the division/state and/or as requested to assist with performance improvement of staff or foster parents.
- Provide and oversee de-escalation training for the region. Coordinate providing CEU’s for trainings, as applicable, with the training department.
- Use the centralized training database system to record all training events. All sessions, participants, sign in sheets and evaluations must be collected. Communicate with supervisor and divisions/states on the reception and effectiveness of the training.
- Search, evaluate, and recommend curricula for training, as well as coordinate in developing curricula and materials according to identified training needs.
- May assist with foster parent preservice training in cases of absence of Family Development Specialist.
- Assist with the planning of foster parent conferences and all staff trainings.
- Travel to other divisions/states as required by supervisor to assist with trainings, evaluate other trainers, or as needed by mentors.
- Attend foster youth activities as schedule permits or required by management.
- Collaborate with division and corporate staff to improve, enhance, and maintain foster parent retention.
- Trainers will occasionally call foster parents to get them to attend trainings to increase attendance.

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from accredited college or university in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, or child & family studies required.
- Master’s degree in said disciplines highly preferred.
- Minimum of at least three years of experience in the field working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Minimum of at least three years of experience training/teaching adult learners both individually and in a group setting
What We Offer
- Targeted hiring range:$25.00-$30.00/ hr. (Compensation is commensurate with transferrable experience, education, and licensure of candidate, along with internal equity and budgeted amount for the role.)
