Job description

Norton & Associates, a staffing agency, is currently looking to hire a Transport CNA who can travel to a young student's home and ride in a van with them to their school and then back. This would be two shifts, one in the morning to travel with them to school, and then another to see them returned home at the end of the day. The student also has severe medical needs, as they have Cerebral Palsy. This position would be for a whole complete year from 2023 to 2024.

Start Date: June 12th

Schedule is Monday - Friday
Hours: First shift at 8:15am and Second shift at 2:30pm (Four hour minimum)

Pay Rate: $24/hr

**Please note that we are a temporary staffing agency so there are no benefits and length of assignment can be confirmed with the district before employment, but likely will be until the end of the 2022-2023 school year with possibility for the district to hire temp to perm! School can choose to discontinue working with our staff at any time.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Comply with all legal requirements of the school.
• Assess student health and safety prior and during transportation.
• Record and report any observations in behavior and health during and after transportation.
• Perform any adjunct care for the patient, such as wound care, or cleaning.
• Assist the driver as needed to ensure the patient is safe for transportation.
• Comply with all mandatory training.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as directed by the manager.
• Some academic support needed such as helping type, write, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma/GED required. Associate degree preferred.
• CNA certification from an accredited state program required.
