Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Patient Transporter to our Radiology Support Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a PRN opportunity.
You must be over 18 years of age, and have your High School Diploma/GED.
The role of the Emergency Department Patient Escort is to accept patient move assignments within the Emergency Room from the Transport Tracking System and provide a safe, friendly transport of the patient. This may be done utilizing a wheelchair, stretcher, or bed and must always be done in a quick yet safe manner. The Escort is required to work closely with the nursing staff to ensure that continuity of patient care is maintained at all times.
This Patient Transporter will be responsible for:
- Providing a safe and efficient transport of the patient.
- Maintaining transport equipment in good working order.
- Providing assistance to technical staff as requested.
- Being compliant with mandatory education and health requirements.
