The Location:

Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care through compassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.

The Position:

We're looking for passionate Dietary Transporters responsible for both food preparation, and driving large vehicles to deliver prepared meals between Hale Makua nursing facilities.

• Loads and unloads transportation trucks with meal wagons and other supplies.
• Between deliveries, performs duties of Cooks and Dietary Aides as assigned, including food preparation and production, service, and clean up.
• Operates all cooking equipment.
• Cleans, washes and sanitizes equipment used in food preparation and keeps the work area clean and orderly.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
• Ability to read, speak and follow oral and written instructions.
• 6 months cooking experience in restaurant or institutional cooking.
• Must have current medical/health screening including 2 step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
