Job Summary


The Benton Health Center in Corvallis, OR is seeking a Triage Registered Nurse to join the team! Our nurses work in a patient-centered environment with professionals who have a passion for preventive, team-based care.

Job Summary

The Triage Registered Nurse must be able to function independently to maintain work hours and productivity. The Triage Registered Nurse must be a self-motivated individual that possesses critical thinking skills and excellent problem-solving capability. The primary focus of the Triage Registered Nurse is to provide phone triage to assess patients’ health status for immediate care, clinical appointment, education for care at home, or referrals to resources. Demonstrates knowledge-based care to patients and programs in accordance with standards of practice, Nursing Practice Act, Oregon Administrative Rules, County and department policies and procedures. Assists the Registered Nurse Care Coordinator Teams with coordinating care, patient health maintenance and follow-up phone calls to emergency/urgent care and hospitalization services. May provide specialized services within specified programs and at multiple sites according to scope, license, and program standards as needed.

    • Annual salary range of Health Care Professional 2: $59,155 - $85,552

Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Health Care Professional 2 level:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing AND 1 year of nursing experience
  • Equivalency will be accepted: Registered Nurse with 3 years of nursing experience
Health Care Professional 3 level:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) AND 1 year of nursing experience
  • Equivalency will be considered: RN and 4 years of nursing experience
  • BSN preferred
Special Requirements
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid Oregon Driver's License.
  • Benton County requires all Health Services and Clinic employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exception to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. Successful candidates for this position must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exception prior to their first day of employment. Failure to provide proof of full documentation or receipt of an approved exception will lead to withdrawal of the job offer.
Ideal Candidate
  • Equivalent of 3 years of triage experience with adult and pediatrics.
  • Experience working with a care team and scheduling staff.
  • Experience in electronic medical records.
