Under direction of the Manager, Project Controls, this position is responsible for the management and execution of turnaround controls on all site turnarounds and has overall responsibility and accountability for the Turnaround Controls function.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage the Project Controls Plan, establish estimating, cost and schedule control systems on assigned turnarounds including estimating, cost forecasting, and scheduling oversight; spending (cash flow) projections; monitor cost, schedule progress plan, and take corrective actions as required; manage the turnaround controls resource requirements; participation in industry and site benchmarking efforts;
- Serve as liaison between Eastman personnel and subcontractors as necessary for turnaround reporting requirements and status.
- Anticipate complex internal and external turnaround control issues with impact on the organization; recommend innovative controls solutions.
- Contributes to and is able to lead strategic controls development around budgeting, estimating, planning, and/or scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Engineering, Construction Science or similar degree, Business, Accounting or Finance Bachelor Degree from an accredited university is required. Post graduate degree with related experience will also be considered.
- Must be willing to travel on occasion.
- Advanced proficiency with the applicable software applications (i.e., Microsoft Office) to provide information and analysis of data. Experience with Primavera considered a plus.
- Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines while managing priorities are critical skills for this position.
- The ability to effectively communicate and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting complex proposals and reports to senior level management is critical.
- The ability to maintain confidential information is critical.
- Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
