Our mission is to take the stress out of buying insurance, and provide our clients with exceptional services and support so they can effectively protect their assets.
Underwriter:
Scale is looking for a standout Underwriter to help underwrite and administer management liability policies for our clients in the tech space.

What you’ll be doing:
Reporting directly to the Underwriting Manager, the Underwriter will learn our underwriting philosophy and processes, make key decisions, and defend them to his or her manager. Opportunity to work with our Head of Product to develop cutting edge product and product enhancements. This person will have a direct impact on the growth of Scale and our booming book of business.
Responsibilities include:
- Making strategic, sound underwriting decisions
- Issuing quotes, binders and policies
- Clearly and effectively communicating with brokers
- Maintaining a high level of service and product knowledge and selling the benefits of the policies
- Proactively seeking and sharing knowledge on industry/market developments
About you:
- 3-5 years of experience and a proven track record of being a stellar underwriter
- Experience with D&O insurance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Excited by insurance and strong knowledge of the industry
- Desire to network and grow the business
- Respectable taste in music and ability to crack (and take) a joke
