Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and advise on pending legislative or other political issues of relevance to NXP, particularly at the federal level and in US states where NXP operates (e.g. Texas and Arizona).
• Advise on regulations and regulatory developments in areas of focus to the US Government Affairs role, such as lobby compliance and campaign finance.
• Assist in the development of policy briefings, talking points, thought leadership and recommendations regarding public policy issues.
• Assist in formulating, drafting and project managing NXP responses to government information requests.
• Help formulate, draft and project manage NXP efforts to obtain government incentives.
• Assist in effective communications with government officials and agencies of relevance to NXP.
• Advise and support NXP efforts to obtain government business and grants (government contracting, bids, etc.).
• Participate in and maximize value received from industry associations the company participates in.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA required. Masters or JD preferred.
• Semiconductor industry/technology sector experience strongly preferred
• A minimum of 5 years experience dealing with government decision makers and agencies at all levels, particularly at the federal level and in US states where NXP operates (e.g. Texas and Arizona), with prior experience in a similar role preferred.
• Position to be based in Washington D.C. or Austin, Texas
