Broadridge is Hiring! We are seeking a talented UX/UI Researcher to join our Innovation Lab on contract to hire basis. The User Researcher will work under the guidance of the VP of Innovation. This role is part of Broadridge’s Innovation Lab Team (605 Studios). The mission of the team is to identify new areas of focus, experiment and deliver POCs that will then be reviewed and prioritized for full production by the business, and function as a new business/product offering.
Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research to deeply understand the needs, pain-points, behaviors, and emotion of researcher journeys in the context of conducting product research.
  • Lead, improve, and maintain research excellence and consistency across multiple projects.
  • Create and document research and metric best practices, standards, guidelines, and processes that enables research to achieve or exceed acceptable levels of excellence while allowing flexibility and researcher autonomy.
  • Educate through onboarding, training, refresher courses and reminders of research best practices/standards.
  • Assist researchers through mentorship and consultancy.
  • Enable communication and collaboration channels, such as a peer review process.
  • Create and enact quality controls.
  • Monitor and encourage adherence to research best practices, standards, and processes.
  • Help product teams and stakeholders understand research, its benefits, when and how to engage with research, and the appropriate interpretation of results.
  • Help share research insights more broadly.
  • Develop, maintain, and encourage quality and consistent collection, synthesizing, sharing, and finding of research insights to assist with knowledge management.
  • Help develop and encourage the proper and consistent use of tools to enable quality, consistency, and efficiencies in research.
  • Take on ad hoc research requests.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in discipline related to one of the following disciplines: UI/UX design, Market Research, or similar industry experience.
  • 4+ years in the Research/Innovation Space
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, and cross-functional internal teams
  • Demonstrable experience using qualitative and quantitative tools for A/B testing as well as leading focus groups, customer interviews and the creation of research artifacts and reports
  • Highly communicative (written, verbal, presentation) in a way that generates empathy and engagement from the client and design team
  • Have a natural skill to engage with people at a deep level. Whether observing or interviewing customers, or working with fellow team members and clients, a service designer should be passionate about representing the human perspective in design and should have skills in bringing this passion to life for the team.
