Utility Machine Operator – Full-Time – Portland, IN 47371
Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Utility Machine Operator is responsible for filling in for vacation/absenteeism and must be able to perform all jobs and operate all machines in the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for operating machinery, understanding specs of the product being ran, documenting both on paper and electronically machine setting, weights and other data as needed

Must be able to assemble, disassemble and clean equipment when needed and communicate issues to lead and supervisor
-
Keeps a legible accurate record as required including entering data as needed into a computer-based system
-
Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
-
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements

Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable
REQUIREMENTS:
-
Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands
-
Walking, bending, standing and lifting of up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
-
Must be able to operate a Power Industrial Truck
-
Use and read scales and thermometers
-
Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator
In order to be eligible for consideration you must have:
Applicant may not have above 4 attendance points at the time of the job posting end date
Must not have been demoted within the last 6 months of the job posting end date
Must hold current position for 6 months unless the bid is for a higher classification
No Written Warning within the last 3 months of the job posting end date
No Written Warning with suspension within the last 6 months of the job posting end date
