A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A VETERINARY ASSISTANT

As an entry-level Veterinary Assistant, you provide valuable support for the veterinarians in our facility. You are a positive and friendly person who greets every patient and owner that visits our hospital with a smile. As pets arrive for appointments, you lovingly handle them as you weigh them and record their vital signs. Before surgeries or other procedures, you diligently clean the surgical room and instruments as well as prepare medications.

You assist during procedures and radiology exams by gently restraining animals as they're treated and grabbing tools for the vets as needed. Attentive to detail, you fill and fax prescriptions for our patients and schedule appointments for future visits. Before our clients leave, you encourage preventative care and provide advice for keeping their pets healthy and happy. You love interacting with our human and animal clients and providing excellent care!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A VETERINARY ASSISTANT

• Experience working with animals

Veterinary experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate to be successful in this position. Are you highly organized? Do you have great communication and interpersonal skills? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A VETERINARY ASSISTANT

This part-time position works approximately 25 hours a week. Available shifts are Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and Saturday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
