Vice President – StageRight Events

We are currently looking for a Vice President of Sales for StageRight Events division of the Rogers Group. This person will be responsible for achieving StageRight and Rogers Group growth objectives by taking a top leadership role overseeing all of StageRight Events. This position will become fully versed in Event marketplace and develop a complete understanding of the business unit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement annual marketing plan setting both short term and long-term direction. This includes, setting booking/billing targets, gross margin targets, net income targets, setting marketing initiatives and pricing strategy to support objectives.
  • Responsible for P&L of business unit
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships as the face of StageRight with management companies, architectural firms, competition, industry consultants and primary GC/CMs.
  • Travel as necessary to maintain these relationships
  • Manage Risk Exposure for business unit
  • Review all Request for Proposals documents to assure proper qualifications and clarifications are included in Bid Proposals.
  • Review all contracts, purchase orders, and any other legal documents.
  • Negotiate all contract, purchase order, and other legal document items to properly manage risk exposure of company
  • Have a solid understanding of market including competitive environment, threats, opportunities, and price points to create market initiatives
  • Attend weekly management meeting to provide updates on key business unit objectives, provide updates on key projects and activities, solicit assistance where needed, and coordinate key activities.
  • Hold weekly huddle meeting with all reports to provide status information on company and key objectives, set the plan for the week and receive input on anyone needing assistance.
  • Hold weekly PM/Engineering status meeting to review status of projects and coordination of ongoing activities
  • Assure adherence to company processes and policies with all direct and indirect reports.
  • Responsible for employee development and performance.
  • Responsible for all marketing materials (i.e., specifications, brochures, and one-sheets) in conjunction with engineering and marketing disciplines.
  • Responsible for new product development and product management in conjunction with Product Development.
  • Responsible for supporting all company initiatives as a leader and mentor.
  • Travel is estimated to be one week per month consisting of 2-to-3-day trips.
  • Responsible for all planning and execution of involvement in annual IAVM trade show and associated industry conferences.
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders on industry trends and activities.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as appropriate.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must possess High School degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years in upper management, sales, sales management, business development or equivalent professional experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language. Ability to read and understand basic contract language and Request for Proposal contract documents including scope of work, specifications, and architectural blueprints. Ability to communicate effectively across all disciplines. Demonstrate outstanding networking and team building abilities.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project and Power Point software. Fundamental understanding of CRM software with ability to navigate and complete data entry in an efficient manner.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand basic financial reporting including balance sheet, cash flow, and income statements. Must possess solid math skills.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with the variety of situations and people. Ability to access and anticipate ownership and client expectations and deliver results.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Agility of the upper and lower body extremities and capable of lifting 35 pounds. Must be able to travel.
