Victim Service Specialist Project Manager

Hourly Wage: $25.13/Regular/Full-Time/Supervisory
Responsible for implementation and evaluation process as described in the grant; coordinates assigned program activities in accordance with agency policies and procedure and develops program initiatives to increase capacity of project to fulfill its grant goals and objectives, and to improve the overall response to victims of crime with Law Enforcement.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Providing overall coordination and oversight of daily program activities in accordance with agency and program policies and procedures.
- Provide coordination and guidance between Law Enforcement, Justice Services, and VRP to provide direct services working with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes so that clients and the community receive timely, appropriate services.
- Generate and maintain required records, reports and statistical data for program and ensure that all supervisees comply with agency policy and procedures and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Facilitate staff development through supervision, provide coordination of training and outreach to ensure all staff are appropriately trained to meet agency requirements, all regulations and funding requirements.
- Participate on the Yakama Nation Behavioral Health Services Coalition Board and other community Advisory/Coalition Boards to network and build other community partnerships.
- In conjunction with the Project Director, facilitate program development and new initiatives including grant writing related to assigned programs and agency initiatives.
- Maintaining quality assurance procedures, including creation of policy and procedure manuals, monitoring and evaluating the quality of services and programs.
- Develop a Victim Crisis Response Steering Committee and develop MOU from committee outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of conducting program evaluations, measurements for research progress and outcomes.
- Knowledge of working with Tribal programs and non-Tribal organizations and articulating program needs verbally or in written format.
- Knowledge of mental health, and substance abuse treatment, social justice issues on the Yakama Reservation.
- Knowledge of working with grants, objectives, and activities to maintain contractual compliance.
- Knowledge of social and health services agencies of the Yakama Nation and adjacent communities as a resource to youth, elders, and community members of the Yakama Nation.
- Knowledge of media, public speaking, communications, social marketing and design.
- Knowledge, skills and ability to complete required documentation of activities, objectives and goals.
- Ability to demonstrate strong writing skills. If interviewed, interviewee may be asked to write a report or document by Program Director.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to Train individuals and/or large groups of people.
- Ability to write Memorandums of Understanding and Agreements for program inter-agency collaboration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Verifiable completion of state mandated 40 hour domestic violence Advocate/Counselor training or will complete the next scheduled agency 40 hour domestic violence Advocate/Counselor training.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Chemical Dependency, Public Administration or related field.
- Two years of working experience in victims of crime and Advocacy and other tribal programs and providers.
- Required to pass pre-employment drug test.
- Required to pass pre-employment criminal background checks.
- Must possess a valid Washington State Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Yakama Nation Driving permit.
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality.
