The Vision Framework team within the System Intelligence and Machine Learning (SIML) group, as part of the ISE organization in Apple, is responsible for imaging, computer vision and machine learning for Apple's image and video products. This team provides the building blocks for a diverse array of technologies, including new exciting features such as Live Text and Photos Memories on macOS and iOS. The group combines research and development in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for critical problem solvers with a sharp eye for detail who would like to play a key role in qualifying these features and helping ensure Apple software is of the highest quality.
Key Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with white or black-box testing
- Proven bug detection and regression skills
- Proficient in Python, Javascript or similar scripting language
- Self-motivated, critical thinking, and demonstrated creativity
- Fundamental understanding of Apple’s platforms - macOS and iOS
- Ability to multi-task well and change focus quickly
Description
As a QA engineer, you will be working closely with SIML engineers & other QA Engineers to establish the bar for quality & make sure that our products meet that bar - by doing manual testing & writing automation tests. Your main job responsibilities would include the following: Planning, designing, and executing test cases Performing ad-hoc and structured tests on a daily basis Bug reporting and isolation Writing automation
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $40.52 and $67.54/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
