Sublime Media is immediately hiring for an experienced Visual Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract with the potential to extend. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience.

As the Creative Agency for Learning, our vision and approach start with curiosity and empathy for learners. If it has to do with corporate learning, we do it: online, virtual, and in-person training, curriculum and instructional design, explainer videos, learning games, and more.

ABOUT YOU: You are able to work quickly and iteratively. You can elicit information from a client and work with creative directors and writers to make the content come alive. You think creatively, you work well with a team, and you’re extremely flexible. You may even play the role of consultant and help clients come up with the right design strategy. On a given day, you might be designing webpage interactions, creating PowerPoint decks, crafting print materials, or designing style frames for an animated video. Your passion for visual design, problem-solving, and collaboration skills will be crucial to your success in this role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Visual design experience, knowledge of the visual designer role, and desire to learn
• Ability to adapt to shifting deadlines and manage your time and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills since you’ll be working directly with instructional and motion designers, project managers, developers, and editors
• Strong design sense for layout, composition, typography, and color
• Experience creating user friendly Interaction Design
• Knowledge of accessible design principles
• Ability to convert abstract design requirements into original and beautiful layout concepts
• Ability and confidence to show rough work early on to sell the client on an idea
• Ability to design effective UX
• Experience designing for mobile
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Must have fluency with the Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Nice to have experience with Adobe Media Encode and Adobe After Effects

This is a six-month, temporary position with the potential to extend. Hours worked will be dependent on project needs and assessed on a weekly basis but will generally range between 20-40 hours/week.
