JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for managing a team of associates to complete all functions and activities associated with the Warehouse, Shipping and Logistics Department including receiving, packaging, shipping, logistics and control of all company material inventories to meet customer and business expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ÿ Responsible for leading all areas of the Warehouse and Logistics department, most importantly its people and culture in regards to character, quality, pace and continual improvement.
• Ÿ Direct supervision and HR responsibilities for all warehouse associates, including conducting performance reviews, on-boarding, training and continual coaching.
• Ÿ Warehouse department areas of responsibility include the dock, receiving, kitting, packaging, shipping, inventory control and transport and returned product cleaning.
• Ÿ Set goals, plan and execute towards continually improving warehouse personnel, processes, metrics, documentation and communication within the area of responsibility and influence of the department.
• Ÿ Accountable for leading and maintaining a clean, organized and presentable work environment consistent with a 6S culture and tools.
• Ÿ Ensure products packaged and shipped to our customers is done correct every time and with minimal to zero waste.
• Ÿ Responsible for coordinating all levels of inventory control processes including cycle counts, variance investigations, training and continual process improvements to increase inventory accuracy and reduce inventory carrying costs.
• Ÿ Continually reduce waste in the process of storing and delivering materials within the plant for value add activities.
• Ÿ Responsible for cross functional coordination of month and year end physical inventory if required.
• Ÿ Responsible for management and continual improvement of inbound and outbound logistics including information availability, tracking, issue resolution and analytics.
• Ÿ Accountable for managing inbound logistics accounts, negotiations, decision making, tariffs and duty drawback efforts.
• Ÿ Maintain a department which complies with quality system and regulatory requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain or related discipline
• Ÿ 2+ years’ working experience in Warehouse, Supply Chain or Logistics
• Ÿ 2+ years’ working experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Ÿ 2+ years’ experience working in detail with MRP Systems
• Ÿ Experience planning and implementing complex organizational projects
• Medical device industry experience (Preferred)

Skills and Abilities

Required

• Ÿ Ability to provide vision and leadership to Warehouse and Logistics Department personnel in a manufacturing environment
• Ÿ Strong understanding of the warehouse value in customer fulfillment
• Ÿ High degree of working knowledge and experience with the warehouse functions of MRP systems including multi-bin/multi-site and lot/item serialization traceability
• Ÿ Detail oriented and willingness to learn all warehouse process details
• Ÿ Ability to plan (budget & schedule), lead and implement cross-functional projects
• Ÿ Demonstrates a high degree of professional integrity, ethics and confidentiality
• Ÿ Clear and professional written and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred

• Ÿ Import/export and customs compliance aptitude
• Ÿ Ability to evaluate freight carriers and negotiate agreements to meet business expectations
• Ÿ Strong accounting and data analysis skills
