Responsibilities and Duties

• Handling daily warehouse operation: shipping and receiving, Load/unload/palletize inventory, schedule carrier truck, and coordinate with third party vendors
• Provides excellent customer service to stores serviced through timely order deliveries
• Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, or other related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and meet new and changing demands
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
• Be able to work weekday and have a flexible schedule
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma Required

Skill

• Must know how to operate a forklift and drive 20ft moving truck
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Personal computer skills required. Prior experience with Excel and Word applications in a Microsoft Windows environment
• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

• During part of the workday the incumbent may move about the Distribution Center including, the yard and warehouse, potential hazards exist in regard to machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, mechanized systems, movement of tractors and trailers, etc.
• Temperatures in the warehouse may vary between –20 to 90 degrees.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
• Incumbent will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of the workday.
• Must be willing to be flexible on work hours and shifts. Operations are 3-5 days a week

This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting and use of heavy machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

This position requires nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures of coolers and blast freezers.
