Warehouse Supervisor (New Facility!)
Job description
* We are opening a new 134,000 square foot warehouse in Brownsburg, Indiana! We are looking for an individual capable of supervising a team of new employees, with the ability to make this transition a success! This individual will be training at our current facilities in Georgia and New Jersey prior to the grand opening of our new facility. *
SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager, this position is responsible to oversee the Warehouse Associates & Leads working in various functions of the facility; Shipping, Receiving, Parts & Inventory, Putaway, and Cutting, and ensure that productivity, quality, and safety expectations are being met. This individual will provide first line support to the team and internal peers to resolve issues that may adversely impact customer satisfaction, quality and safety. In coordination with the Warehouse Manager, continuously works to improve processes to maximize productivity and minimize cost.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES– include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Promotes a positive team environment and leads by example at all times.
- Responsible to prioritize, organize, and follow up with staff to ensure daily work activities focus on providing our customers with products and services that meet agreed-to requirements.
- Responsible for timekeeping approvals and corrections on a weekly basis in the HRIS system and/or with agencies for contracted staff.
- Works with the Warehouse Manager (WM) to coordinate the daily tasks of unloading of materials & supplies, facilitate daily inventory management functions, loading and dispatch of finished goods, and supervising the stock location and removal to support the re-spooling/cutting functions.
- Responsible for the training of new associates and ongoing development of current staff in all aspects of the warehouse operations including SAP, TMS, safety, standard operating procedures, quality, etc. and holds the team accountable.
- Responsible to reconcile receiving adjustments to close outstanding purchase orders. (GRIR)
- Proactively communicates with internal and external customers to ensure all parties are aware of any delays, issues with shipment fulfillment or any other instances that would impact overall customer satisfaction.
- Works with the WM to research, analyze, respond to customer complaints and internal quality action requests generated due to internal audits or breakdowns in standard operating procedures in line with company standards.
- In partnership with the WM, provides support and guidance to employees in resolving disputes, complaints, safety incidents and performance related concerns.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, safe working environment and holds others accountable for the same.
- Responsible to maintain the preventative maintenance and log sheet of cutting equipment. Communicates and acts upon necessary actions with WM. Follows up when actions are complete.
- Contributes to a team atmosphere and assists others when required or necessary.
- Tracks the training and development initiatives of employees on respective teams. Ensures necessary training is being completed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates degree from an accredited College or University
- A minimum of 3-5 years overseeing process & procedure in a Warehouse environment
- Forklift certified
- SAP experience
- S4 HANA or ECC6 preferred

COMPENSATION: $60,000 - $65,000 per year, with bonus eligibility
