Who is our Warp Knit Operator & Area Manager?

Our Warp Knit Specialist is a natural born leader who understands Warp Knitting Machinery operations, maintenance and is responsible for general manufacturing duties and responsibilities.

This position has the responsibility of overseeing and operation of the Weave/Knit areas of the plant and employees. Primary responsibilities include loading, threading, operating, and maintaining Commercial Warp Knitting and Commercial Weaving Machines; also maintaining all related paperwork in compliance with AS9100 Quality Management System.

This position will continue to evolve into further managerial responsibilities, benefits, compensation, and opportunities for those who would like to grow with us.

What qualifies you?

• Must have experience in the areas of Warp Hanging, Operator, and/or Threader.

• Must have knowledge of styles, yarns, and defects.

• Must be proficient at loading, threading, operating, and maintaining Karl Mayer Knitting Machines.

• Must be willing to learn how to load, thread, operate, and maintain commercial weaving machines.

• Must be willing to train other employees on these skills.

• Must be proficient at reading, writing, and speaking English.

What else will you do?

• Develop processes towards plant growth and lean operation

• General upkeep of machinery, machinery parts, needles & closing wires, set runners and take-ups. Change ratios.

• Work on any problem machines. Keep the work area clean and report any spills or safety hazards.

• Promote a culture that reflects the organization’s values, encourages good performance, and enhances productivity

• Provide training and educational materials to staff members.

• Evaluate employees and provide feedback for improvement.

• Collect and review data to reduce inefficiency, waste, and rework.

• Ensure consistency of processes

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks, as needed.
