Job Description – Webmaster

Summary:

The Webmaster is a well-rounded individual with a strong blend of technical skills and an inquisitive ‘commerce’ mindset.

This individual will have the passion and ability to work with data and analysis, and then draw conclusions that can be articulated into website functionality for optimal UX/CX and conversion to drive orders, revenue growth and customer retention.

The right candidate has a strong grasp of current website best-practices, including how technical architectures enable the best customer experience and a culture of test-and-learn. This role will also help to enable and execute digital marketing strategies and participate in cross-functional teamwork across digital touchpoints of web, email and online advertising.

You will be successful in this role if you are well-organized, committed to ongoing learning, and collaborate well across functions and with direct reports. And, you will thrive by being productive at both a leadership/project management level AND as a hands-on ecommerce executor.

• Ever-improving website user experience and conversion
• Drive increasing rates of qualified demand through SEO strategies & tactics
• Optimize customer acquisition through effective conversion of online traffic

Key responsibilities:

• Contribute to our website roadmap/structure with key stakeholders ensuring consistent look and feel as well as accessibility and ease of navigation & usage for all visitors
• Monitor and evaluate website performance and user feedback for usability issues
• Assess and improve web user paths, from landing pages thru funnel to successful checkout
• Work hands-on to drive website UI improvements through ongoing research, perform A/B and multivariate tests, and execution/implementation of enhancements including front end development needed to test and roll out winning tests.
• Proactively perform cross-browser testing and optimizations
• Align onsite optimization with external partners for SEO, PPC and email campaigns
• Develop reports and summaries to effectively communicate results and to aid prioritization of initiatives using website analytics tools including Google Analytics among others
• More duties may be assigned as needed

Experience/Requirements:

• Proven working experience (2 years minimum) with ecommerce websites, with B2B preferred
• Two years plus experience in SEO/SEM, email, and CRO
• Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels; Experience with A/B and multivariate tests
• Working knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adwords etc)
• Hands-on knowledge of Jquery, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and related graphics programs
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Strong analytical skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
