Job description
Responsible for the overall supervision, direction, and coordination of the Lyophilization department. This position directly supervises reports accountable for Lyophilization operations. Position requires broad familiarity with technical principles, human relations and communications skills, and a practical knowledge of the Lyophilization operations. Will resolve all issues regarding same. Must possess the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Coordinates the staffing, scheduling, and training of a team of nonexempt employees.
- Confers with departmental operators on the application of methods and production standards and adherence to safety programs, cGMP’s, and good housekeeping practices.
- Coordinates with Maintenance, Validations, Technology Transfer, and Product Development to support the introduction of new product codes and processes.
- Defines and recommends manufacturing objectives develops specific short-term and long-range plans.
- Control’s quality and cost of operation through managing department budget.
- Evaluates the department regularly and modifies operations/standards for performance as necessary.
- Develops department employees through training and objectives while building employee morale.
- Maintains an awareness of industry developments in the Lyophilization that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practices.
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5-10 years of pharmaceutical experience in Lyophilization.
Working knowledge of SOP’s and cGMP’s a plus.

Pay: From $72,000.00 per year
