Welder Job Description:

• Assists in day-to-day functions of the Weld Department including but not limited to welding and prepping of carbon steel valve bodies.
• Ability to operates various equipment using the stick welding processes.
• Ability to read Engineering prints/drawings.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Must lift up to 100lbs on occasion with a lifting partner.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Ability to be certified on SMAW101 Weld Test.

Welder Requirements:

• Operation of various equipment using the stick welding processes.
• Read Engineering prints/drawings/documents.
• Identify and verify parts and materials.
• Verify accuracy of paperwork as required.
• Periodically inspect tools and equipment for accuracy/deficiencies.
• Ensure job orders always remain with parts.
• Sandblast and clean various components while standing for long periods of time.
• Observe and follow all Safety practices dictated by the Weld Department Supervisor and company policy.
• Weld carbon steel valve bodies and bonnets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
