Nemours is seeking a Biometric Screener to join our Wellness team in
Wilmington, DE. FULL-TIME, 32 hours, 4 days per week.
Position Responsibilities
Position Requirements
- The Associate Wellness Biometric Screener in collaboration with the wellness team, will manage the onsite Biometric Screening program at Nemours. The Biometric Screener will schedule and coordinate all screening events at the various Nemours sites and will travel to all sites to perform the screenings for Nemours associates.
- The Biometric Screener will be responsible for managing inventory of all supplies needed for the screening program, tracking utilization of screening appointments, and overseeing inquiries from associates about biometric screenings.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide biometric screenings at various Nemours sites (includes finger stick blood collection, blood pressure, height/weight/waist measurements)
- Provide brief review of results based on individual screening findings to help associates identify the need for lifestyle changes to improve their health
- Input screening data into a wellness portal or data management warehouse
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of protective equipment when necessary
- Follow quality assurance procedures and policies
- Maintain all HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Ensure all health information is securely maintained and all personally identifiable health information is kept private
- Coordinate with wellness vendors and internal resources to support Nemours Associate Wellness incentive program
- Develop knowledge of Nemours wellness resources and make appropriate referrals to those resources (EAP, Peer Support Program, WW, etc.)
- Participate in training and continuing education as needed. Complete required annual competencies.
- Provide outstanding customer service
Position Requirements
- Associates Degree required,Prefer degree in a medical, health, or fitness related field
- American Heart Association BLS required
- Prefer degree in a medical, health, or fitness related field preferred
- Minimum of one year healthcare experience in a professional health care setting required; Bilingual English/Spanish. Health/medical screening experience (blood pressure measurements, finger stick administration, etc.).
