Charter Funerals is seeking a Removal Specialist for our Emporia location.

In the event of a death, the Removal Specialist is responsible for transporting remains from the place where death occurred (often a private residence, hospital or care facility) to the funeral home.

Additional duties will involve occasional coordination with police, medical examiners or care facility personnel. Since the Removal Specialist represents the funeral home’s first direct contact with bereaved families at the time of loss, they should expect to display an attitude of compassion and empathy appropriate to the sensitive and important service that we provide.

The Removal Specialist will be on-call, with removal services completed as needed.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be capable of lifting.
