WIRE MILL SHIFT SUPERVISOR

Position Summary/Objective

Key personnel in organizing, training, and developing resources to achieve the manufacturing plan. This person will own the Wire Mill Technician job growth and development plan for each individual, ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped with the appropriate skill set to succeed in the role. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment first and foremost, with quality, and personnel closely following. This person will develop the skills to communicate with the wire mill technicians to provide feedback during informal and formal discussions. This role will assist in the documentation and troubleshooting of various equipment and processes as needed and be a resource for others. This role utilizes Lean techniques to help ensure clear objectives and consistent communication.

Essential Functions

• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained on the floor and all employees are complying with proper EHS procedures.
• Ensure Wire Mill Technicians are trained to properly setup and operate equipment.
• Engage with Wire Mill Technicians to assist them through the proper troubleshooting and decision making to enhance all operational metrics.
• Develop regular and consistent daily communication with Wire Mill Technicians to prioritize their daily work activities.
• Ensure Wire Mill Technicians are following proper reporting procedures to enable accurate inventory.
• Work with other members of the organization to achieve company goals

Competencies

• Must be able to read, develop, design, and document conductor and processes appropriate for long term repeatable manufacture.
• Able to develop and implement enhancements to existing processes for safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
• Must have a working knowledge of all conductor manufacturing departments at CCC
• Able to utilize and create electronic systems to maintain information in ERP system and supporting systems
• Utilize computers to communicate and work with others effectively.
• A successful person will be results oriented with attention on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Working on the floor for extended period of time standing.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Occasional travel is expected for this position.

Education and Experience:

This position is considered to be a conductor technology expert and requires a 4 year degree plus 6+ years relevant experience or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
