) is seeking applicants for a full-time, ten and one-half (10 1/2) month non-tenured track faculty position of Workforce Ed Instructor in Early Childhood Education.
Responsibilities: Primary duties include teaching a variety of undergraduate / technical courses with specific expertise in Early Childhood Education; experience developing and teaching online courses or willingness to learn online teaching requirements and serve on departmental and University committees In addition to teaching, the employee will be responsible for advising and registering students; developing instructional and lab activities; keeping program and student records; assisting with recruitment, placement, and follow-up; participating in professional development activities; making business and industry contacts; coordinating and supervising internship/practicum assignments, and other duties as assigned. Evening and/or summer hours may be required.
Qualifications: Preferred formal education of a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related area and a minimum of three years related work/teaching experience; or a baccalaureate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a minimum of four years related work/teaching experience; working with children birth to 5 years of age is preferred. Must possess good communication, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills and be willing to obtain occupational-related certifications as deemed necessary.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience with excellent fringe benefits.
