Overview: JOB PURPOSE: This job description includes all areas of purchasing finished goods and production components to insure all customer demands are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop order plans, forecasts and schedules (if applicable) for delivery of product from supplier to NGK-WV.
• Communicate completed Plans to WV and Wixom personnel and supplier (as applicable).
• Evaluate part status and report part shortages weekly on developed spreadsheet form or SIR
• Generate Purchase Orders to suppliers utilizing current MRP system.
• Prepare inventory tracking/forecasting spreadsheets and reviews of customer orders and forecasts and compare weekly to actual shipments and report status.
• Create and/or review combined releases for increases, decreases or abnormalities.
• Interface within all NGK and at all locations as it applies to processes
• Monitor component stock levels and expedite or delay as needs dictate and based on current inventory/demand to meet daily requirements;
• Maintain plant/annual order requirements; three year plans, monthly forecasts as applicable.
• Assist/implement changes to allow for improved inventory management system;
• Maintain various purchasing files and assist in document/records preparation;
• Understand/comply with QMS policy/procedures;
• Understand/comply with EMS policy/procedures;
• Adhere to safety policy/procedures.
• Ability to learn and understand and navigate current MRP system.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
• Assist in meeting company and department goals and business objectives.

• Special project coordination assigned by management;
• General housekeeping duties;
• Overtime and/or travel as required;
• Develop IATF Procedures or work instructions as it relates to the job function.
• Other duties as assigned or requested by NGK Japan if applicable.

Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

*Degree: *High school diploma or GED required. Combination of post-secondary education and/or previous associated work experience preferred. MS Office experience required. Professional oral/written communication skills required.
