GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS
The purpose of the class is to develop, implement, and evaluate a variety of youth violence prevention programs and policies. Supervises a group of Youth and Young Adult Community Engagement Specialist. Incumbent will be assigned to the Comprehensive Violence Reduction programs that have been developed to work across disciplines in a multidisciplinary effort. This position works in partnership with the community to reduce violence in the City of Hampton. This work will engage those who are most at risk of and those who are actively participating in violent activities. Acts as a resource to service providers.
